IDK, I don't remember what version of A3 I saw but the main things I took away from it were: 1) Thanks for crushing every hope from the end of Aliens in one hand-wavy sentence 2) It's boring as fuck.

On the other hand, while Alien Resurrection has the shittiest FX, it's way more imaginative than A3. I find it best to think of as an AU story, much like AVP. It certainly has a much more memorable supporting cast than A3 (and Prometheus, at that).

Agreed with all of this. A3 has its moments and Resurrection has its problems, but I ended up preferring the latter to the former overall.
