Sometimes I'll post a quick drabble or snippets of a fic under a cut on my blog, with tags that indicate it's unfinished or maybe stupid or something. I'd never put those kinds of tags/comments on something I'm posting for real, though. I understand that a lot of people are shy or not confident in their work, but if you say those things, it's going to turn people away. (Mostly thinking about fic here, since you have to actively decide to keep going as you read, whereas art you just see once and then you've seen it.) Sometimes, if I'm really nervous about something, I write all of the self-deprecating tags/ANs/etc out and then delete them. I get it out of my system a little, and nobody has to see another "I suck at summaries/this is my first fic/sorry it's soooooo bad" summary.
