What's happening in your life right now?

Friend/roommate is moving in on Saturday, so I have been cleaning my house up. I really need to get in the habit of doing it more often, I am a terrible adult. D: And I had moldy food in the fridge... Never again.

I just bought new walking shoes and fancy insoles for about $70 less than I spent on the set they're replacing. Hooray for last year's model still being available!

Might have landed a temporary gig helping a photographer in the fall. Fingers crossed.

I'm 99% sure I've landed a new job that's damn near my dream job. The remaining 1% is because I'm still waiting on confirmation of the last two approval signatures following talking to my references. In which case I'll be moving to a new city in a month (yay, relocation packages!) and my boyfriend will be moving in with me either right away, or within a few months, depending on how his job search goes.

So yeah, I'm pretty excited.

My sis is depressed (I think it is a combo of her period and new meds) and I don't know what to do. I dont wanna keep asking if she is okay, but I worry about her.

Just...be there? And tell her you're always willing to talk if she wants.

Agreed, just being there is worth so much. Or at least it was to me, when I was depressed. Even though I knew noone could help me beat my demons, having people ask after me and just still be around helped enormously.

I'm learning to do more than single-hook in crochet so that I can make myself a Magikarp drawstring bag.

Really need to clean and pack since I'm flying home for a week tomorrow. But I'm exhausted and have a headache, so I'm thinking of sleeping now and doing the other stuff in the morning.

Unemployed, trying to find work. I keep reminding myself how shit my job was and how right I was to leave, but it's hard, you know?

I got back from a convention on Sunday and I wish I could go back </3. It was so much fun!

Due for a medical scan on Monday. Not looking forward, not least because I'm not sure Medicare won't fuck up.

I am growing veggies for the first time ever (a friend gave me one of those "grow your own tomatoes" kits) and I have never really gardened before but I'm going to have to move them to a bigger pot soon. Those suckers grow fast!

Got the results back on an exam I had last month finally and YAY F!S I PASSED!! :D I've basically been stressing about it for a month so this is a big relief.
