I kind of agree with this? I mean, maybe the OP was talking about ~high literature~ which is stupid, lot's of ~high literature~ is boring as fuck (looking at you Ethan Frome), but refusing to read anything but fanfic is so limiting.

Plus, the more you read, the more fandoms you might enjoy finding fanfics for. :D
