OMG, someone else is aware of JJ Feild! I think he's been compared a lot to Jude Law, which I can see, but he's more like if Jude Law and Lee Pace had a son together. ...Or I guess Lee Pace and Tom Hiddleston.

They all seem like lovely charming men, so that set would be a lot of fun. And Lee can do a good English accent, so you know... Come on, Hollywood, get on that.

I saw him on Turn and immediately noted his resemblance to Hiddleston. On that show, Seth Numrich who plays Ben Talmadge ALSO looks a lot like HIddleston. Great for eye candy, but man, it took me three episodes to figure out that those were two different actors rather than a character with a double identity!

After I first saw Thor I was trying to remember where I'd seen Hiddleston before for AGES, and finally worked out I was actually thinking of JJ Feild.

has anyone ever watched something where the physical similarities of two people who were cast as family was a significant factor in your enjoyment? Dissimilarities can be jarring, but I don't get this level of desperation...

I know that I really appreciate the fact that Sigrid and Tilda, the daughters of Bard in Desolation of Smaug are Real Life sisters.

Of course it's good thing their RL dad is under at least some dwarf makeup too, because the right expression on her face and Peggy Nesbitt (Sigrid) does look like Jimmy.

I also liked that the tiny bit part in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe of adult!Lucy was Georgie Henley's older sister. I have to say they didn't look much alike back then but as Georgie grew up she started looking more like Rachel.

Adult Cranston Delaware the Third. Played by Mark Sheppard... and William Morgan Sheppard. His father.

I really, really, really love when family is cast as family, especially when it makes the characters look like they're related (or in the case of Cranston and Lucy, look like the same person).

I didn't know those girls are James Nesbits' daughters! That's very cute.

The Orange is the New Black people really lucked out that Laverne Cox has a twin brother (who played her character pre-transition). Obviously usually the chances of there being a family member who can act adequately and is suitable for the part is quite low but it's neat when it happens.

While idly look up Peggy, I also found Jimmy Nesbitt's wife played Belladonna Baggins (Bilbo's mother) in the Extended Edition flashback scene of the Old Took's party. Not that you see much of her, she moves fast and a lot of the time her face is out of shot.
