but did that bring many people to the manga fandom, though? from what I understand the manga is pretty different.

I see it around on tumblr still and manga caps occassionally so it definitely has a fandom and I'm sure the show brought in new fans. Not Free!, AoT, or KLK levels, of course, but more than your average anime.

The anime's pretty similiar besides the last three or two episodes which went for an anime original end.

That being said I agree it's not obscure. It was one of the most popular anime of the winter season.

Where are you reading scanlations? After watching the anime I got interested in the manga I heard it started as, but couldn't find a scanlation of it and lost interest. Maybe other people just couldn't find the manga either?

I follow this series (although I don't really do the fandom thing for it) and I thought it had a pretty decently sized fandom? Or at the very least, the Yatori section is pretty active.

Aw, I loved Noragami. Only seen the anime, but I loved Yato, and Yato's shady history, and Yukine. Was indifferent to the girl, she just didn't do enough to make me feel one way or the other about her. Yukine breaks my heart though, aww.
