[Sebastian Stan]

Are you a girl? Just because people think they're cute on a guy, doesn't mean people will find them cute on you. Guys aren't supposed to look perfect, people can find "flaws" in their appearances interesting or attractive.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-27 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no one cares. Maybe in Hollywood they do. But not in the real world. Most people understand that Hollywood is fake. The same thing goes for pubic hair. Just because men watch porn with shaved women, doesn't mean they think all women are shaved* (and they dont expect it).

*but trim that shit if you want someone to go down on you (men and women). that is just a courtesy thing.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-27 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yo, at the point where you're letting your anxieties about the double standards for appearance for men and women turn into actively telling women they shouldn't feel confident or attractive even when they have flaws, you've pretty much lost me.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-27 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just pointing out that other people don't necessarily think she's attractive just because she has a feature that she finds atrractive on some guy.

OP

I am, yes, and I understand beauty standards differ. But, it's not so much about what other people think of them, but more what I project on myself

Are you a pretentious twat? Just because you think wrinkles are ugly, doesn't mean people won't find it cute. Girls aren't supposed to look like plastic mannequins, people do find "flaws" in their appearances interesting and attractive.

Well...were you trying for "douchebag of the night" because you just fucking won it.

Jeez, there's a multibillion dollar industry that tells people they look horrible - especially girls, you do not need to encourage that.

Eye crinkles are adorable, OP.

Hey, OP, eye wrinkles from smiling are awesome! I'll bet you have a big, genuine smile, and I can guarantee that the wrinkles accentuate rather than take away from it.

Eye crinkles. *sigh*

(Anonymous) 2014-06-27 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, OP! Sebastian Stan makes me feel better about my flat ass, the bridge of my nose and my constant issue with looking like I have black eyes. :) There are worse ways to do body positivity!

Crow's feet just make a person more attractive because it means they smile a lot :)

this is literally the cutest secret and i would probably find you adorable. :)))))))) 1000% eye crinkle weakness

(Anonymous) 2014-06-28 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Crow's feet are the best wrinkles. Never noticed them on Sebastian Stan until this secret, but Jensen Ackles is approximately 1000x hotter imo now that he has crow's feet than he was when he was younger.

You should see B. Cumberbatch's shit eating grin. Because then you'd feel ecstatic about yourself.

I have nothing of import to add, I just want to squish his face.

Hey, you earned those.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-28 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
By living and smiling (okay, maybe a little from squinting when something was super bright, but mostly smiling). They give your face character - which may not sound great, but a lot of times when someone "fixes" something about their face, to make it smoother or smaller or whatever, it seems to make it less interesting. So-called flaws in someone's appearance can be attractive.

A big nose can be someone's best feature, and without it, they'd just look plain. Look what happened to the girl who played the lead role in Dirty Dancing, she had a nose job and disappeared into obscurity.

As somebody who adores the smile lines around David Tennant's eyes, I agree with this secret.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-28 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
... doesn't everyone have those? I can't think of a single person I've seen who doesn't get those little wrinkles when they smile.

(Anonymous) 2014-06-29 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
I stopped feeling so bad about being a bit hirsute after starting to like a show wiht a very hairy (male) character. Even though I'm a woman, it made me feel better about myself, even if I grow hair quickly & need to shave a lot. I felt like I had something in common wiht him. :) (It sounds weird when I write it here but it really did help!!) I'm glad something made you feel better about yourself and I know how that feels.
