The only way I could see it working is if they were setting Caputo up as a "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" scenario. Which does fit with him failing to fire Bennet, but doesn't fit with the fact that he's apparently trying to be a better administrator than Fig. It didn't make sense.

I could still see them doing that since Fig started out idealistic too. I mean, she was embezzling money while talking about widespread prison reform if her husband got elected. Doesn't seem too different from blackmailing your way into power and then acting nice. But I disagree that not firing Bennet is part of being a better administrator. He might see it that way, but by the rules of the prison, Bennet committed sexual assault and should be charged.

Oh, no- I meant that not firing Bennet fit the "same as the old boss" part of the scenario. He absolutely deserves to be fired. (When Pornstache, of all people is telling you to cool it, that should probably be a wake-up call.)

But I definitely get a "same as the old boss" feeling from the change.
