Picked up Tomb Raider in the summer sale so I'll be playing that. Kinda plowed through 4 hours' worth last night and wondered how the hell it got so light outside. I'm really surprised how good it is, and gameplay-wise it's close enough to The Last Of Us that it's making me want to replay that.

Tomb Raider didn't do very well in sales did it? I can't recall. It is too action-y of a game for me. I got Borderlands to try but I think that might be too much for me too. :P

From what I understand it did very, very well.

I love Tomb Raider's gameplay! I was pleasantly surprised by the entire package, really; the story, the gaming mechanics, it was all well executed. I can't wait for the next one.

Actually, in terms of sheer fun I think I enjoy playing Tomb Raider more than The Last of Us, just because...well, TLOU is so damn tense and depressing. TLOU's gameplay is excellent, no doubt about that, but Tomb Raider isn't quite so nerve-wracking. (Though, er, it does have its moments. Especially later in the game.)

TLOU is incredible though, and not much can top that experience imo. The story is gut-wrenching and the VA's are mind-blowing. (The animation is scarily good, too. Ugh, I really love TLOU.)

Yes, TR is much, MUCH less dire.

Glad to hear this about Tomb Raider. I've been interested in it, but...eh, I'm a cheap skate, so I'm very cautious when it comes to buying games.
