I am going to assume your random use of the celtic-knotted dog means your "condoned bestiality" comment = knotting.

Otherwise I'm confused.

That said, given the few dozen ABO fics I've read across half as many fandoms, I think it's largely a sign of lack of creativity in fandom. With the exception of one where alpha!Hulk fucked omega!Tony, they were basically the same:

Omega: OH, I HATE YOU BUT I WANT YOUR COCK
Alpha: I don't want you to hate me but I MUST PUT MY COCK IN YOU AND KNOT YOU UNTIL WE BOTH CAN'T SEE.
Omega: You know, you've not so bad. Knot me again, studmuffin!
Alpha: Oh, thank god you don't hate me. I can't wait until we have babies.

The ones most interesting to me are those focusing on femslash (few as they may be). Mostly because NONE of them are repetitive. Some maybe incredibly silly, but that's ABO for you.

Sounds like a pairing problem to me, because I almost never see the hate sex dynamic in the a/b/o I run across.

In my experience, it's more "Omega: OH I HATE BEING A SUBMISSIVE COCK-HUNGRY OMEGA BUT I NEED COCK ANYWAY". But the rest follows exactly the same.
