No, the exact opposite. I really really like the new X-Men movies and I seem to be the only person on the planet who's enjoying the new Spider-Man films, but the few times I've dipped into the MCU fandom I haven't enjoyed it at all. I still like the MCU movies (except Thor), but I'd rather participate in two smaller fandoms than one colossal one.

The X-Men movies do have a WAAAAYYYY higher ratio of good fic to crap fic than the MCU, for sure.
