The only thing I really disagree with in the is that it's the base of the penis that swells. Unless someone has written a variation the other way.

Also you seem to have read some fic that puts far more importance on betas than most of the small amount I have read. In the fics I've read, betas are either normal-ish humans, or a relatively useless middle-class that all the unwanted competition gets shoved into so as to leave the feature pairing uncontested. Or dwarves married to their work in Hobbit A/B/O.
