True, but the art style is really, really stiff. There was a 4chan edit I saw that did a flew alterations and looked a lot better/more like Naoko's art.

Aw, that's a shame. How did /a/ react to the character designs?

I agree. For the most part, it resembles the manga art. Especially some of things being complained about thoroughly, like the extremely long legs and doll face. But the animation is kind of lifeless.
