(Anonymous) 2014-06-29 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)Someone getting weepy about an animal death in a movie, when they don't give a shit about a human dying, means nothing about how they value animal or human life in real life. If you think otherwise then you really need to sit down and watch "Earthlings" or some other such documentary.

They wouldn't ask for drugs to be tested in their own bodies to protect animals, and god knows they wouldn't stop eating hot dogs. That's still a source of mockery and misunderstanding, so people care a lot more about humans (and btw, I'm not saying I don't undertand it).
