Re: Pairings you don't get

ayrt; Yup, I thought Uryuu/Ichigo would be the flagship slash pairing for Bleach. Maybe with competition from Ichigo/Renji and Ichigo/Aizen. Ichigo/Chad had the best potential for slash, but Chad wasn't pretty enough and didn't keep a big enough role in the anime/manga for the pairing to catch on.

I ship a few Ichigo slash ships, but like Ichigo/Byakuya the most. All of their interactions tend to be very intense and focused on each other, but quietly so, and I really like ships like that. Also, I keep getting stuck on how shippy their three biggest interactions were. How defeating Byakuya was the only time Ichigo seemed overjoyed to win, how Byakuya killed someone he thought of as a friend just because they were Ichigo's enemy even though everyone else cut by Tsukishima thought Ichigo was crazy, and how Ichigo went straight to Byakuya during the Quincy invasion and Byakuya entrusted Ichigo with fulfilling the task of protecting Soul Society he failed as he was 'dying'.
