Sometimes singing a romantic duet is just singing a romantic duet. I'd put the odds that Ellen DeGeneres is struggling in a relationship with Josh Groban at slim to none.

oh, i meant when it's been explicitly stated by themselves and all over the press that the song is about their relationship; but i'm not talking about the same people as op anyway.

If it's even stated explicitly by them, then it's even *less* likely that they're secretly in love. People who are secretly in love tend not to advertize this fact. People who are extremely confident in the non-romanticness of their relationship, on the other hand, often flirt their asses off.

Or they're not so secretly in love? The other person didn't say who they're talking about but singing about being in love with each other AND telling everyone the song is about them seems like they're not exactly trying to hide it...

Given the topic of the thread, you're probably right, but it sounded fairly open to me. It's hard to say for sure without knowing who it is, though.
