No, it's

1. The cat goes missing

2. Signs are put up in every apartment's laundry, all are still up except for the one in the apartment complex where all the complaints were coming from

3. The cat is not found at any of the nearby shelters or vet's offices

4. The garbage area smelled like a dead animal

OF COURSE these are all from the people who's cat it was, but even if the cat is alive somewhere, why did they let their cat just roam around, even after people complained? This isn't a house, this was an apartment complex by a major road. Look after your goddamn pets.

Sometimes garbage just smells bad because it has meat or something in it. That smells just like dead animal because, well, it is.

I have never been by a dumpster that DIDN'T smell like a dead animal or worse, frankly.
