Like using trope names when it's relevant or something else? /does the former sometimes.

I do this too.

It's just a handy way to describe 'that thing when' in fiction. Don't see why it's any reason to get angry at someone.

DA, but I mostly was annoyed when, in that "Mary-Sue is a misogynistic concept" discussion some ime ago people kept quoting TV Tropes to proove their points as if TV Tropes was in any way a proper source to cite from. I was guessing the other anon meant something like that? Like when people quote the Daily Mail or dodgy wiki articles as "proof".
