You know, in the line of things that really sucked for me around that time, that one was objectively actually minor. But, it stuck with me, so I guess it did hit a nerve big time.

I think it's two big things: a) People who are authority figures that are supposed to have your best interest at heart betraying you. I feel like some people have no business teaching, especially in a demographic that is already vulnerable. b) people dismissing something that had a profound impact on your life as unimportant. It's like they're trying to erase my story, if that makes sense.

I'm sorry if I'm ranting, but something came up recently that really made me rage - it's not at all about me, I shouldn't take it personally, but it's so close to home to me it makes my blood boil.
