Do you think any cryptids (I mean creatures like Bigfoot more than the coelacanth here) have an actual shot at being real? What legends do you find the most intriguing? I think Thunderbirds are fascinating:

But I'm skeptical that any of it is real. Still neat stories, though.

I don't think so but I wish the Loch Ness Monster was real.

There was an article which said that the Yeti was an unrecorded species of bear, based on DNA testing of some hair found. And didn't the Mokèlé-mbèmbé turn out to have been real, but a recently extinct rhino sub-species? If there are cryptids then the explanation will definitely not be as fantastical as the common depictions.

I honestly think quite a few of them were either
a) real (at one point)
b) still real
c) existed in a way that is necessarily "known" to us.

The latter answers make me sound crazy or like a fool, but I do believe there are things we can't explain and things we can't know/beyond our understanding. Humans were much more open to things/existences beyond our own in the past...

But that's just me. And yes, I do believe in science, I've studied it, I will continue to study it. I just don't believe it has all the answers.

I would love it, personally.

I have so much wishful thinking about Bigfoot. I read like an entire 5000 word article about how they could potentially be living hidden in the redwood forests of America because they might be solitary animals who live mainly off tree shoots like pandas and if that was true there could be several thousands living there without making enough mess to alert humans... Also have watched so many analyses of the Patterson Gimlin film and how it's just a incredible fake if it is a fake... Also all this stuff about Bigfoot in other countries leaving hair that hasn't been linked to any known animal through DNA...

Yeah. I need to stop.
