In the vein of our beloved ex poster

How would you do in prison?

Re: In the vein of our beloved ex poster

I wonder that every time I see a TV show or movie where someone's in prison. On the one hand, I am a lazy fuck and part of me thinks it's a great excuse for sitting around on my ass all day doing nothing. On the other hand, I hate living by other peoples' rules and I have issues with authority figures, small spaces, sharing small spaces with people, and bad food.

You sound confident, and in turn also ruggedly handsome, therefore you might increase my chance of peaceful existence. I will be yours 4 thug lyfe.

What kind of prison and where? That's the most important question.

I'd be fine. I'm good at keeping my head down and also have a law degree. I'd become a jail house lawyer and all my clients would protect me.

Well, since I'm female, probably reasonably well, as I understand they're not as bad as male prisons. I can dish out punches if need be, and don't take shit. I'd be the kind who keeps to herself and doesn't bother you unless you bother me - but if you do, well...

I think I'd be my own biggest risk, because I'd hate being deprived of my freedom, and that would make me prone to depression, I think.

I'd do great. The local prisons aren't that dangerous and unless I was in for multiple homicides, I'd be allowed to go to work, study and go out for holidays. Boredom would be the worst thing to expect, otherwise it'd be like a paid vacation.

idk I think I'd just cry most of the time. Also, I can't handle the idea of pooping or showering where people can see me

I'd probably do terribly. I'm bookish, and I value my alone time, and I tend to be quiet when I first meet people. I'd constantly be a bundle of nerves and irritation, which I'm sure would not endear me to anyone, nor make it at all easy to cope.

I think I'd probably be a crazy person by the end of my sentence.

Eh, I'd probably end up getting all my shit stolen, slapped around, and disrespected as a matter of course. I'm not pretty or noticeable enough to be first in line for either somebody's bitch or somebody's arch enemy, though, so there's that. I like to think I'd survive.
elaminator: (Inception: Cobb/Arthur)

well THIS is a fun topic

[personal profile] elaminator 2014-07-03 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Badly.

I'd probably be constantly bullied because I'm an easy target. I'd like to think I'd stand up for myself and that it would scare people off, but I'm a wimp and so don't know how well I'd be at it, or how much good it would do me.

Plus I'm a very sensitive, introverted person and not ever having 'real' alone time and not being able to do the things I love would probably eventually drive me mad. The depression and desperation would be crippling.

Plus I would NOT do well having to strip down and shower (and/or) poop in front of people. Eventually I'd get used to it (you'd have to), but it would never be easy, I think.
