I think there's two options (broadly).

One is you either just don't feel the need, or don't have a fandom you're really excited about. It happened to me. I was really active in fandom between 17-21 or so, then went away for a few years, didn't return till my mid-twenties.

Second is there's something going on in your real life. This can be positive (r/l relationships or friendships taking more time) or negative (feeling down, not being excited about stuff anymore).

It sort of sucks if your friends only like you if you fangirl. I get friendships form over a common interest, but true friendships go beyond that.

I guess my advice is to figure out what's different - what changed on the last year?
