"Bob got upset and confused when Alice decided to sacrifice herself at the last minute (after saying all season that she wasn't going to sacrifice herself and working with Bob to find another way to save the town) and wouldn't explain to him why she'd changed her mind, and he tried to stop her. Therefore, Bob thinks he owns Alice and doesn't respect her rights as a person." That kind of lack of any sense of nuance.

That last sentence doesn't sound logical, sounds a bit social juctice-y, actually. I think I see what you mean. People write meta which doesn't make sense?
