I've always had a pretty firm "anti-shipping" stance. It goes with my firm "no OC stance" and my "quite writing in 1st person, present tense" stance too. I don't think this is new information. I'm not required to like any of those things, and am perfectly at liberty to have a closely held belief that they should be wiped from the face of fandom.

Although I will admit I am pro-Giant Robot in fics.

I don't have any problem with people disliking things, but I do definitely have a problem with someone thinking that, because they personally dislike something, it should be done away with. Why not go have your kind of fun, and let other people have theirs?
