I inactivated my FB a while ago. I am angry but unsurprised, since nobody reads the TOS, which is where they stuck the relevant bits about research and what-not since they know nobody reads those (as opposed to asking people to participate in the experiment).

Probably because the TOS would never hold up if actually challenged in court, let alone support research which you simply can't get such authorisation for this way.

How long ago did you deactivate it? The experiment was done in 2012.
