Seriously? What do this community hate Snape so much??? How many discussions have we had about how awful / abusive / greasy he is this week?

i noticed a lot in fanfic, even the sexy kind they'll mention how greasy his hair is. sorta takes me out of the moment. and I LIKE snape.

His hair is greasy in canon. Those writer are just doing it write.

Reading clean, pretty Snape takes me out of the story.

Exactly.

I've written Snapefic, he's a fun character with great backstory. But he does have greasy hair (from Harry's POV), it's a canon fact.

Wtf is this "from Harry's pov"? Like, Harry imagined it? His hair was greasy, ffs, Harry isn't that kind of unreliable narrator.

This. I mean, several other characters said he had greasy hair as well. Sure, they said it to be mean, but I think we can assume that Snape's hair really was greasy. Just like we can assume he really did have a big nose.

....out of all the things in Harry Potter, I can't believe there's a debate over Snape's greasiness
