I'm 46 and I find my interest in fandom, in general, has ebbs and flows. I left fandom entirely for six years, and during that time I got really frustrated with my fandom friends because I didn't want to talk about the new developments any more. I eventually came back to fandom.

Point is, invest your new amounts of free time in something else. Make some offline friends. Don't worry so much about fandom. It will still be there if and when you come back.
