Re: Foreign food
(Anonymous) 2014-07-04 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)Personally, I wouldn't be able to eat them, I have a real problem with eating anything related to offal, but I've still always been wondering what they would taste like X'D
Re: Foreign food
Black pudding is a lot lighter (since it's based on blood), often salty, and when it's not it tastes meaty, but subtly different.
Re: Foreign food
(Anonymous) 2014-07-04 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)I actually tried black pudding once, I think - it was fried so it was very crispy - quite different from the blood sausage version in my country (that one's much more.. dense?).
Re: Foreign food
(some tourist shops offer vegetarian haggis, not sure how that works).
Crispy on the outside, somewhat moist in the middle is best for black pudding.
I am totally not a vampire. And I might have to try other blood puddings too! (My attitude is basicly I should try everything once unless I suspect it will make me ill.)
