Even if you don't 'hit it big', if this is something you want to do that would make you happy, it's worth trying. Your equipment doesn't have to be fancy (I don't typically listen to movie reviews, but when I do watch something on youtube the sound quality isn't something that turns me off unless it's unintelligible), and you can always upgrade later if it means that much to you. I get why you would be nervous and unsure, but you never know until you try!

Yes! My husband does reviews and he's fairly well-regarded, but he's not hugely hugely popular, not like the Nostalgia Critic or the Cinema Snob. But he does his reviews because he has fun with them and he likes to share these silly obscure movies and books and stuff that we dig up. And that has to be why you do 'em! Because you have fun and have something to say about the stuff.

Also, there's nothing wrong with lower-end equipment, if you just take the time to make it work for you. You can always upgrade later, but it's a good idea to get the hang of basic camera work and editing first before you drop a ton of cash on it.
