I know I've seen exerts of Victorian-era erotica that really went on about how sexy long abundant pubes and leg hair were.

Which makes sense, chest bumpies are just one of many signs of puberty and sexual maturity, so why should they always be the only one seen as sexy?

And in ancient Japan they used iron-based dye to dye their teeth black since white teeth were imperfect and yellowed over time, but black teeth were perfect and unchanging.

Beauty standards are fascinating.

Reading about foot binding was just absolutely depressing though.. just damn..

I will never be able to get the images of what those feet look like when not covered out out if my head ever. Those poor girls and women.

Thanks for the link.

Together with the blackened teeth, there was also a trend to shave your eyebrows and paint on fake ones very high up on your forehead.

And in Elizabethan times, European women removed some hair as well - just not body hair but eyebrows and the hairline to give them a higher forehead.

I really want to find out more about sexy Victorian leg hair, would you happen to remember any sources?

Hmm, I misremembered and it wasn't leg hair specifically, but breast, pube, and back hair.
