I kind of agree? Which is why I've read the shit out of some Merlin fic (I've read so much you don't even know). But I enjoyed it for what it was, so eh. I liked the series for the most part, as frustrating as it was.

I'm with you. I would never argue that it was stellar storytelling, and not ridiculously frustrating, and sometimes way too campy, but eh, I could get past all of that and enjoy it for what it was. Plus I never felt like it was trying to pretend to be anything other that what it was.

I love my dead gay show...

Any particular recs, btw? I'm always on the lookout for good fic! (Merthur in particular...)
