OP, I think you're just making things worse in your mind. I saw her at FedCon (albeit from a distance) and she seemed to be having quite a lot of fun. Obviously there can always be obnoxious fans, but I really don't think she minds the attention in general.

And if you really think you'd do something terribly inappropriate...well, you sort of have to ask yourself why. General rule is: if you wouldn't say/do it to an average person, don't say/do it to a celebrity, either.
