not to be snarky or anything, but "stuff from the early 00s or older" includes almost all country ever. including a hell of a lot of stuff that's very pop-ified. uh, so I guess I just want to ask why you're making that distinction.

It's mostly because I've not really listened to any stuff newer than that. Outside of a few artists, I'm not really a big fan of popified country. Plus, nostalgia.

I totally have nostalgia goggles for '90's radio country. Brooks and Dunn, Reba, Toby Keith, stuff like that.

Same. It's all my mom listened to so I've got a whole lot of nostalgia for it. And Reba is the absolute best, oh my god.

No one in my family listens to country so I have no idea why I have nostalgia for it. I started to listen to it in 2004 and the local radio played a lot stuff from the '90's.

haha, same here. I rarely listen to country anymore but I will sing along to "Fancy" like my life depends on it whenever I hear it (I think Reba's version was actually a cover but she totally owned it so whatever)
