Natsume's Book of Friends, which I think I mentioned a couple days ago. Such a cute little show, but man does it like to throw in emotional sucker punches when you're least expecting them. Natsume needs all the hugs ever, and he'd be so surprised and confusd that you were giving them to him.

Yes! We're currently watching this too and it makes me cry almost every episode. So many of the episodes are so sad.

It was recommended to me as "a thing to watch if you liked Mushi-shi," and while Natsume is a lot more feelings-inducing and character-based it's got a similar feel of "person solves small-scale problems caused by supernatural creatures that most people can't see."

I was a mess when I was done watching that (marathoned all 4 seasons in a week). I was having lots of feelings for weeks. I still can't look at a pic of it without feeling heart twangs.

It's definitely one of my favorite shows. It's just so sweet!

The episodes with the firefly spirit and the bird spirit fucked me up though. God, I cried...
