Re: In the flesh spoilers
MP lady was the worst kind of hypocrite. You hate the risers but are perfectly fine with them if they include your brother? Die, lady. (Plus, I don't care what your reasons are, you kill Amy you deserve to rot in jail for the rest of your life.)
Yea, I mean...even if Amy was getting better, even though she got her heartbeat back...what about her illness? She had leukemia, right? So...could that kill her a second time, or would she be immune to it or something now? I find that interesting. Theoretically it sounds like their bodies should start to heal from whatever trauma (as you say, Simon's spine), but since this is a show about zombies IDK, suppose they could play fast and loose with that. I want to know, though!
BBC, you give and you take away...
I was actually wondering if the Undead Prophet might not actually be Undead; maybe it's one of the scientists that saw Simon daily. Otherwise...how would they get in touch with him there and how would they even know of him? It would be interesting if a human actually started the whole ULA movement because they thought the Undead were a superior species.
Yeaaaa, I liked Rick on his own right even if the guy had some major issues and wasn't...great for Kieren in his current state. Still, if he had lived he could've changed (he had already finally stood up to his father and admitted he was a PDS person too), and I think he and Kieren could've made it work. But...you know, he's dead, so...Simon is good for him, what with his encouraging him to accept himself. And he just plain adores him and isn't ashamed to show it, and Kieren deserves someone who feels like that about him. Kieren caused Simon to ditch the ULA too, so that was great as well. You go Kieren. They ALL deserve to be happy but in this universe happiness is pretty fleeting...let's hope that things will look up for them from now on. *laughs* :(
I sort of saw it coming after the whole driving her home and her kissing his cheek, but fuck...it still grossed me out. Gary is a grade A asshole who doesn't deserve anyone, much less Jem Walker. (Plus, he HAD a gf in season one, I forget, did they break up? I hope he wasn't cheating on her with Jem, but...you know, he's a massive tool so that wouldn't surprise me.) What Jem needs is someone not radical. Go find someone who isn't human trash, Jem.
We didn't get flashbacks, actually! So I'd really enjoy seeing some, even of her life before turning rabid. And the doc did quickly say nothing could be done, but I don't think there was anything suspicious about it; she was probably just dead and he didn't think there was any coming back for her. (Though he should've tried anyway, dammit.) Cause he did refuse to tell the government people where she lived, so at least for now I think he's one of the good guys.
Re: In the flesh spoilers
Oh man yeah, I figured there was something up with her, what with the toy train in the first episode(I was figuring dead child or relative of some kind) but still to have it happen was like no lady, no.
Indeed, would they heal completely or become human only to die again if they have terminal illnesses that killed them? We just don't know! This is why we need a third series, we need these questions answered.
They dooooo, they're meanies.
I... had not considered that at all, and it makes a scary amount of sense actually. My other money's on the PDS dude Simon was with in the cells, because he seemed shifty.
Oh yeah Rick was not in a good place and I think what burns me most about his story is that he was starting to get better, like standing up to his dad and then the beginnings of accepting himself. THEN IT GOT TAKEN AWAY. (It's cool ITF your characters deaths have a point and aren't senseless even if they do make me sad).
I may have done lots of flappy-hand motions when Simon was being all sweet on Keiren, I mean the Simon/Kieren thing was not most important thing about ITF but man did it make me all happy and fuzzy to see. Yesss, yesss Simon is good for him(and vice-versa). This is the BBC, happiness is not a word in their vocabulary, there are just various stages of not-completely-fucking-awful.
I have no idea, tbf we only heard about her in passing and since he's a grade A twat she probably left him. Lmao, human-trash, that he most certainly is.
I didn't think we did, it could be really cool if we got to see her before and after maybe, idk they just can't take her away forever, she was too good. Yeah, plus there's not much to be done about stab wounds to the chest in a clinic even when you're undead, well maybe she would have been okay if she were still a full-PDS sufferer? ... That thought makes me sad.
Re: In the flesh spoilers
Exactly. What also got me is even the inn-keeper lady was like, "What the fuck is wrong with you", haha. So that sort of warmed my heart.
Yea, and the other thing...as PDS people they can't die unless their brain is destroyed, so as far as we know they're bascially immortal unless murdered. So...if they become human again that's cool, but at the same time they get to die like everyone else. Which, you know, living forever would suck, but it does worry me that people might take advantage, you know? If someone has a bone to pick with a PDS person and then they slowly recover and become well only to be killed by someone who has a hard-on for killing zombies, that would suck so much.
IA, I thought that PDS guy might be the undead prophet but who knows. Then again...how would he have done the whole monitor thing? He sneaked past all the security? Even then how did he set the whole thing up? It makes the most sense to me for it to be someone working at the hospital because then they could make a videotape in their off time, bring it in and play it when Simon is alone. But...I mean, they might not even like PDS people, they could have ulterior motives or be trying to incite PDS people into doing something so monumentally huge (like the second rising, thing) that maybe the government would take over and decide to get rid of them? Though I don't think that would ever happen, but radicals, you know.
Pfft, yes, their character deaths come at just the wrong moments. Rick's learning to accept himself, finally stands up to his father? Dead! Amy's finally found someone who loves her, is becoming human again? Dead! The BBC are monsters.
Haha, yea. There's SO much Simon/Kieren in the ITF tags and I admit I find myself reblogging a lot of it because...well, I need the cute relationship stuff and the sorta-fluff because the rest of the series is so serious and depressing. Brilliant, but...yea. (Plus, Kieren's little face. He was so stunned that anyone could be openly attracted to him, ahaha. It was kind of adorable how suspicious and cautious he was of Simon. Yet he kept going back to see him and straightening his hair out at Amy's door in anticipation. God, why are they fluffy...)
I HOPE she left him, because I don't care who she is, she deserves better. Poor Jem, if only she had known...
You know, I think that's exactly it: if she had still been PDS she would still be alive. So even though she was turning more human, even though it was bringing her all that joy, in the end it was the very reason she died. IN THE FLESH! *shakes fist*
Re: In the flesh spoilers
Lol, when a bigot thinks you're full of shit you know you done fucked up.
Yeah that would be a huge issue but at that point it really would be murder, as opposed to atm where it's not treated with the same severity even with those that are technically people again. But I agree it could end up really bad.
It being one of the doctors does make the most sense, unless it was a very haxy PDS person, but idk it's deliberately vague atm.(this is where I be the cynical one and say that I could totally see them doing that, I mean PDS sufferers aren't seen as people and if you prove them to be dangerous they'd get mass support for mass extermination I reckon. I could see someone being a sick to get rid of them).
The BBC feeds on your tears and pain. Omnomnom.
Oh I'm not surprised, I should check that tag out actually, and fic I feel like reading some Simon/Kieren or Amy/Phillip fic plus like character stuff and meta too. (Oh gawsh, all his little mannerisms before meeting Simon when he was crushing hard were so cute, and the neckgrab, fuck I have such a weakness for neckgrabs. I nearly melted into a puddle.)
He deserves loneliness. Maybe not even that.
No it's okay I didn't need my heart, aha why did I think on it? Whhhyyyyyyy. Fffftttfftf.
