That's too bad, I guess. It is awful science but I've seen worse movies with dumber science and enjoyed them. TBH my view is that if I can enjoy Johnny Mnemonic I can enjoy this. And I can absolutely enjoy Johnny Mnemonic.

4th anon chiming in to say YANA. I still watch Johhny Mnemonic whenever I get the opportunity to. Molly! Henry Rollins! The dolphin! The Bridge!

...the movie is a travesty to the original story, of course. But it's so much FUN!

That's probably the main reason I'm hopeful for Lucy, really - my dream is that it's just Luc Besson does Johnny Mnemonic, because that would be amazing.

I think it's a fun movie, but my favorite Keanu movies are still Point Break and My Own Private Idaho.

My ex-roomie bought both of them for me, much to my then-husband's disgust. :D But we all saw Johnny Mnemonic, because they were into cyberpunk, and Gibson, and me, well. It has Keanu.
