Him less than other Valar? Any particular reason?

Well, he's the one that created the dwarfs (if my memory of Tolkien mythology is serving me properly) and it's his halls they return to when they die, so he's the only one that really applies in this case.

No, I mean, do you think other Valar would be more likely than Aule to use Valkyries? They seem like an un-Tolkienly addition to me, but not something Aule in particular would object to.

Hm, I'd say...Tulkas would probably be the only Vala who was pro-Valkyrie, if only because I think he'd be pro-Valhalla. It seems like his kind of thing.
