I only mentioned kudos because [personal profile] rubbertea did. I was not assuming everyone read fics on AO3. (Nor am I in the camp that thinks feedback is required or whatever so IDK how you got that out of my comment.)

Oh, I got because the vast majority of people I've seen make that argument are in the camp of "YOU SHOULD LEAVE FEEDBACK [or kudos/whatever] OR YOU'RE AN UNGRATEFUL RUDE READER!"

Ah okay. No worries! Yeah I'm pretty much in the opposite camp. I write fic, but I write it first and foremost because it's fun for me. Comments are icing on the cake.
