Anything exciting or just new or different? Good, bad, neutral?

I made my investment purchase in two new pairs of shoes: one for running and one cross trainer great for the gym. It used to be I can only have sneakers in either black or white. My running and gym shoes are blue with lime green laces. I don't even care now what color they are, as long as they protect my feet!

Miki is getting better! She's walking almost normally now, doesn't fall down nearly as much, her eyes have stopped twitching. She's having trouble bending down for food, however, and her head is still tilted. But -- improvement from earlier!

And I drove a golf cart around a school festival yesterday to shuttle people to/from the parking lot.

I'm so glad to hear about Miki's progress! Keep on swimming keep on swimming as I say.

Several years ago my mom and I went to a festival at a greek church. It was good food, just a very hot day. I was going to get the car so I could pick up mom at the entrance but instead they shuttled us in the golf cart. It was actually kind of fun and at least we cooled off a little from the breeze.

Windows 8 bricked my ereader.

My cat, Fluff Monster, who always goes to the bathroom with me to sit on my lap has now decided instead of sitting on my lap she needs to climb over my shoulder, and sit on back. Then she stays there, and I have to finish my business, get out of the bathroom and walk, sometimes all the way to my bed which is on the other side of the house(it is fortunately a small house.) before she gets down.

Nothing much to say, but the weather is atrocious so there was no getting out. The electricity has also went off two days in a row (thankfully not for longer than a couple hours at a time, but... Still annoying) and my phone/internet/tv are suffering because of the weather too so there isn't much to do. I want no rain this coming week, but that isn't happening...

I did get through about seven episodes of Hemlock Grove (Though Netflix was being difficult), so that's good. (Season two, while still ridiculous and nonsensical, is a bit of an improvement. I'm liking it at least, good or no!)

Yay for new shoes! The colors sound cool. I hope that they are comfortable and last well.

I spent the weekend finishing my application to the honors program at my college. It only took me three days to write 500 words for it (heavy sarcasm here) because I'm a perfectionist but it's done. It's out there. The envelope is in the mailbox.

I want to get in. I'm terrified that I'm not good enough to get in (there are only 10 slots a year) and my anxiety is ratcheting up something fierce.

I just wanted to tell someone so thanks for asking about this weekend.

Not as good as I'd hoped. I had planned to do some house cleaning, watch the Tiger & Bunny DVD, and host some friends for a photoshoot.

I did some house cleaning, my health sucked to the point I spent a lot of time in bed writhing in pain and unable to concentrate on anything (so no DVD watching), and although I was feeling OKAY on Sunday, my friends had a family thing rescheduled at the last minute and couldn't come all the way across the state for that photoshoot.

But Sunday night, on the bright side, I was so pissed off at myself for having wasted what was supposed to be a cool weekend largely by lying around in bed, I decided that darnit, I was going to start on a prop for another costume. And I went downstairs to grab some scrap fabric and look in my bins just on the off chance I had the right fabric for the costume itself just sitting around...

And holy crap I *did*. :O So I've got the pieces of the jacket all cut out and pinned now, and after work am going to start sewing it together. I may have to get more fabric for the pants - or just see if I can find a pair in a close enough shade - but I may actually have this ready to wear to the cosplay picnic this weekend. Which is good, because I couldn't decide what I was going to wear, and this particular costume has the potential for lots of trollololol... especially given one of the costumes a friend may wind up wearing. XD
