I don't have any pictures, unfortunately, but I finally started using my mandolin, and it has a setting for shoestring fries! So of course I made cajun string potato fries.

But seriously, this mandolin thing is pretty darn cool, wish I had started using it earlier, because OH MY GOD it is so easy to use, and it is so much easier to use to cut potatoes.

I also made this a while ago that I'm pretty proud of tbh.

I just need to figure out how to make it faster. |D

Those potato fries sound delicious.

And I'm not quite sure what your bead thing is, but it looks really neat and I love the pattern.

They're super good. Would definitely recommend if you can get your hand on a mandolin with that setting, 400F for 4- minutes and they're perfect. :D

Thank you! It's a necklace pendant thing. I was thinking about making it into earrings, but they were too big for me, and I didn't want to make more than one. |D Here's a pic of it all together (warning, gratuitous picture of my face therein.)

Sounds fantastic, I'll have to give them a shot them.

Totally understand that. I think it works better as a necklace anyway and you look super cute in it.

Yeah! I use McCormick's cajun seasoning (I want to learn how to make my own, but for now...), and I like it well enough, but I think just about any would taste good. :3

Thanks. :3

you say "mandolin" and I think

(and I Googled it and saw that it's also a kind of food grater so I understand now lol)

Oh yeah, I probably should have specified. |D

But yeah, it's basically a fancy food grater, and it's super cool because you can cut thin evenly-sliced pieces of vegetables (like potato), and that makes me super happy because now they cook evenly! :D
