He ran out of fucks but didn't give up on humanity. He fought for Earth in the end.

Honestly, Peter Cullen wouldn't keep doing it if he didn't believe it was still Optimus at the core. Even great people and great leaders have their limit, and Optimus got pushed past his.

It's scary when the people who give all the fucks in the world run out of fucks to give. Besides, considering HUMANS TURNED ON THE ROBOTS AND KILLED A LOT OF OPTIMUS' FRIENDS might be a good reason to be all "fuck you" at Earth. He saved it three times, and it thanks him by killing his men.

This movie had me wanting to hug the poor guy. He's been through so much shit.
