Suggestions, comments, and concerns should go here.

Readers aren't entitled to fic and writers aren't entitled to comments.

No one should feel obligated to comment unless they receive a fic that they specifically requested.

I only comment when a fic particularly strikes me (or something in it really confuses me and I need clarification). I give kudos a little more often, but I have to really like a fic for that to happen.

But as I was thinking about this, I realized that some of the reason I don't comment on some stories is because I try to be honest in my comments and there are times when honesty is kind of mean - 'I'm not really sure why I actually kept reading to the end', 'Physics/biology/time doesn't work that way', 'I liked it up until the end, but the ending was not only bad, it ruined the rest of the story for me', 'I liked the premise, but use spellcheck, use apostrophes correctly (no, it's never get's or dont), and read it out loud to yourself before posting (this will help with comma placement, run-on sentences, awkward phrasing, etc.)', 'You've written an interesting story, but who are these characters?'.

I agree with this.

I agree with this. On AO3, I do leave a fair number of kudos, because that's simple. Sometimes I will comment with something a little critical. If a story is sort of offensive or boring to me, I may just say nothing.

On Tumblr, I like some things, and reblog some things, but I do tend to skip a lot of posts rather than stick a heart on everything.
