I like it.

I haven't ventured into the fandom though. or seen all the episodes. but I like what I saw.

It is a really great show. Seems corny in the beginning but really gets good in the middle when stuff is building up.

With the WORST episode of the series /bias

Basically an episode involving Danny temporarily removing his powers because of Vlad's "better" ghost team, an ecto-astroid threatening to hit Earth and Vlad holding the whole world hostage for (more) money and positions of power. Turns out when he goes out to do it Vlad finds out he can't and has already alienated Jack Fenton so he gets stranded in space. Then Danny (after restoring his powers) offers to do it by turning the Earth intangible. World bands together to do it and succeeds and Danny reveals his powers to open arms of his parents and others and it hailed as a hero.

I could write a novel on everything I HATED about this episode. A few big things. Vlad acts like a cartoon super villain and loses all his complexity, and earlier Sam chews out Danny for getting rid of his powers but for selfish sounding reasons that boil down to "you're not SPECIAL and UNIQUE anymore". And she was treated as RIGHT. Danny had just had his parents put in prison because of him before he made the choice. But we're supposed to buy that he's so selfish and wrong for doing it.

What makes it worse is that this came after a bunch of crappy episodes in season 3.

(D-stabilized was IMO the only episode in the season that is as good as season 2. All the others have either not enough of , or too much of something. Too much light jokey atmosphere , not enough character development or attention to character, TOO MUCH DAMN DANNY/SAM FLUFF)

No apologies necessary. :) We like what we like and get all het up about what we get all het up about.

What about Valerie? I like Danny/Sam well enough but I wondered if they were going to be end game (clearly not).

Ah.. Sadly she and Danny didn't end up together.

Valerie and Danny had some EXCELLENT tension and interaction in D-Stabilized, but it was ignored after the episode. I personally like to pretend that D-Stabilized was the last episode.

Yeah I think so. At the end of D-Stabilized she declares she's hunting Vlad now.
