Ok but... I can think of several posts on both lj and tumblr that I've seen over the years instructing people how they should leave feedback (or conversely 'advice' for how to respond to particular types of comments). Very condescending posts about how stupid people are for leaving one word comments/quoting back favourite bits/squeeing etc so I can understand why people feel too much pressure to get the comment 'correct'. Thats why I like the kudos feature, it lets me show my appreciation of the fic without having to worry about whether I'll offend the writer with my comments.
