Way too pedestrian for tar season anon IMO. Copycat, surely. It's not nearly surreal enough, doesn't reference a current popular fandom, and/or contain a clearly absurdist POV (crab-concussed bookstore pedestrian frex) and is, at best, a wannabe knockoff.

Case, Case, if tar season anon comes back, you won't let them post?? Really? But it was so much fun.

Yeah, I'm something like 95% sure this one is a fake. The most significant thing is that none of the "real" TSA secrets directly reference things from other secrets.

I was debating on whether or not to respond to this, but I feel that I should. You are quite right. This is a misrepresentation, and the fact that two such have drawn the ire of the mod is upsetting.

Don't have the link handy (somebody spot me?) but a while back there was a secret about the OP wanting Thor to come to where they lived because it was lonely (due to roads being melted/impassable during 'tar season' or somesuch) and feed him cabbages. It was completely earnest but totally bizarre and incomprehensible, and everyone in the thread went nuts with Wild Mass Guessing because literally no one could wrap their minds around 'tar season.' Anon never clarified. The explanation remains the elusive yeti of F!S. It was hilarious.

There was another secret that had something about "the field fires of my youth" that a lot of people thought sounded like the same tone as "Tar Season".

It's not me, but I do resent the misrepresentation by the secretmaker and the mod. One of the reasons I stopped making secrets is that a "copycat" appeared and case didn't appreciate it.

Maybe it's because I grew up (and currently live) on a farm, but couldn't this be a legitimate secret? I don't know about harvesting yams specifically, but I've harvested tomatoes in the summer and it's fucking hell, if I didn't focus my mind on literally anything else, I would not be able to function on the field because of the heat and how fucking boring the manual labor itself was.

I honestly love that we can tell the difference between tar season anon and copycats.

This is so disappointing. It's a poor show by OP and it's a poor decision by you.
