Uh. In one of my work environments people (including my bosses) were just really assholish. Specifically, I have once heard them make fun of a guy on the phone because he had a "gay accent" and some old people who wanted to know if they could bring their dog along and kept calling it by name. Keep in mind these were our customers (it was a tourist service). The homophobic bs actually got worse, and when the toilet got clogged one day one of my bosses joked it "smelled like the perfume of homosexual love".

The good news is thy went bust (surprise).

The bad news is the assholes still owe me money.

Ugh, that's awful. I had a boss who said pretty homophobic things too... strangely, perhaps disturbingly, I actually liked her a lot most of the time. She was a giving, Christian lady who always listened to you if you needed to talk. She was even cool with people who didn't share her beliefs. As long as you were straight. Which I am, but how did she know that? It's not like I would've told her otherwise, not the way she talked.
