I'm just weirded out by all the comments in this thread going "well it's okay if people get a tattoo that's not directly fandom or if it's really meaningful to them, buuuuut--" Stop. Stop right there, y'all, and think for a second about why you even care what other people get on their skin. As long as the owner of the tattoo likes it, what the hell are you doing talking about whether it's okay or not? It's their body.

FS is usually good about "your thing is not my thing and that's okay," but we have some interesting blind spots.

Yup, but those blind spots are... annoying. Maybe it comes from having to listen to people share their unwanted opinions on my hobbies for a long time, but I react pretty badly to it when I witness it.

Are peoples lives that boring that they need to obsess over someone else's life?
