Sasuke has been in a desert dimension for the last few chapters. Obito makes a plan to go retrieve him with Sakura and one of Naruto's clones. In the last chapter it appeared that the *real* Naruto had followed Kaguya into another dimension and was stabbed--turns out it was just a clone/diversion by the real Naruto to trick Kaguya into ignoring Sakura/Obito. Sakura and Obito hid in his kamui dimension, while Kaguya kills the clone and goes back to the snow dimension.

Now for today's chapter, ooooohboy, the shippers are up in arms.

Naruto does nothing this chapter but fight Kaguya, keeping her in one dimension so she won't catch on. Sakura and Obito go through dimensions looking for Sasuke, and end up in an acid one. Sakura gets burned but tells Obito she has to keep going. Obito mentions that she really wants to help *him*, unsure if that's Sasuke or Naruto he's talking about. Sakura and Obito find Sasuke, but the portal closes on them and Sakura begins to fall backwards from the exertion. And here is where the shippers are enraged or overjoyed, depending on the pairing they enjoy. Sasuke teleports into the dimension behind Sakura and catches her as she's falling. He continues to hold her as he explains to Obito how he was able to get to them, and then thanks them. Sasuke! Thanking his old team! Hell froze over!

Sasuke used Sakura's burnt coat to teleport to them, and this is where I find it interesting. Sasuke just needed something or someone to switch places with. He could have easily used Sakura, since he doesn't care if she dies...but he used her coat instead. I'm wondering where this is heading towards. Until next time!

Sakura had taken her coat/vest off as it was covered in acid. So she wasn't wearing it at the time. Oops!

As for the spoilers. Wow. Sasuke expressing gratitude? The world is gonna end. And ugh, I thought Obito was dead.

Thank you! And yes, he's still alive. He's going to die soon, though. Blood has been pouring from his eyes the entire chapter.

I was surprised to see Sasuke thank them, but not as surprised as him doing something nice for Sakura. I'm starting to doubt less and less in that final battle between Naruto and Sasuke!

I've thought Obito was done for several times so I'm not gonna believes he's dead til I see it. And yeah, Sasuke being nice to Sakura s quite a shock. Especially since a few chapters ago he said she didn't matter iirc. That's pretty jarring, but expected of Kishimoto. Gotta show how he's not all that bad and totally cares for people other than himself.

We're not gonna get that epic fight. We may get a few punches or jutsus thrown, but that's it. Calling it now. Plus a lot of Talk no Jutsu. Which is a shame since I wanted to see Sasuke get his ass kicked.

There's a major announcement next week+a color cover. I really, really hope it's not a, "Hey, I'm extending Naruto for another five years!" thing. He said he was ending it this year...Gah, nightmares!

I was just about to bring up the announcement! I'm going to be optimistic and say that it is announcement that the manga will end this year or early next year. Either that or it s a movie announcement.

I wonder what Kishimoto will do after Naruto.

Maybe...can't wait for next week! Going to be very entertaining!

i stopped checking chapters right before kakashi "died" and got revived

Naruto did something to wake him up, if I recall. He's on his last legs, pretty much.

Ugghhh I'm making ew-DNW faces right no nonny, haven't read the latest chapter, I will soon though but ugghhh. Kishimoto is building up this nice guy persona so he can hand wave every terrible things he's done, right? And him and Naruto will destroy Kaguya with Team-7-nakama-4ever power and we're supposed to just forgive him for everything right?

I can just *feel* it.

What's the announcement about, I wonder?

Either something movie related or something related to the manga's run time, are my guesses. I just hope he's not extending the series. :x

I think you're right about 'NG Sasuke' thing. I figured something like this was going to happen after "I don't care if they die, hmph!" "LOL YES U DO SASOOKEYY :B" thing a few chapters ago. Not surprising, though, Kishimoto has said before how much he likes the little douchebag.
