Cant's say I ship Sidney/Dewey, but I love this franchise! Except I think I need to watch S4 a second time to fully form an opinion about it.

Scream is and always will be one of my all time favorites, much like John Carpenter's Halloween. I don't care how many times I see them, they entertain me and can help me freak myself out before I go to sleep.

I do need to rewatch the sequels though. I hardly remember Scream 3 at all and only watched 4 once.

The only thing I remember from seeing Scream 3 back when it was new in the theaters was Carrie Fisher's cameo. As a Star Wars fan, I've ended up laughing in the theatre when she made the reference to herself and Star Wars.

Replace Carrier Fisher with Jay & Silent Bob and that was my experience as well.

Yes! These were excellent movies when they came out, and they really hold up over a decade later IMHO.

I... did not realize the first film was from 1996. Wtf. I remember watching it when it came out because I had the biggest crush on Matthew Lillard.

I'm a little surprised there isn't a fandom out there for this. I really like this franchise, but then again it reminded me of R.L. Stine (ooo boy, really dating myself there) whom I love. I don't ship Sid/Dewey, but I could see it. Definitely by the 4th movie since they've known each other for so long and could have some harboring feelings. Sid's got baggage, but Dewey's been fairly dependable to not be a psychotic killer lol.

I can't remember where I heard it (DVD commentary, maybe?) but originally Dewey was supposed to die. Test audiences liked him so much that they added the scene of him being loaded into the ambulance.
