Re: Manhwa recs?
Threads of Time - It's amazing. Beautiful art. Really compelling story. It's about a high school boy who travels back in time to feudal Korea (so original I know), but it's so awesome. (11 volumes)
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=3077
Princess - I absolutely adore Princess, but it's like 30+ volumes long and has been on hiatus for the past 10 years. Super well written historical/royal intrigue and back-stabbing. (30+ volumes)
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=745
Masca - I really liked the beginning of this manhwa, but it got rather unruly towards the end, and the ending isn't particularly satisfying. Female witch-in-training becomes a badass and befriends a demon and then love triangle with her mentor and said demon because MANHWA. (12 volumes)
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1306
I Wish... - Pretty light hearted shoujo. Semi-immortal magician dude who grants wishes takes girl under his wing. They have a shared mysterious backstory. (7 volumes)
https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1620
Operation Liberate Men - Once again, would be towards the top of the list, but IT'S NOT FINISHED AND ON HIATUS TILL GOD KNOWS WHEN. >:[ But yeah, typical modern day girl gets transported to fantasy world, except it's a world in which women have magic and all the power, and men are pretty much property. And it'd be so easy to make it really offensive, and yet I kind of love it? (9 volumes)

Some other ones that don't really fit, but whatever: Bride of the Water God (loved the beginning but now it's just a meandering drama filled mess - unfinished), Ciel (has been in my TO READ queue for the longest time and has really good reviews, but since I haven't read it, I can't really rec it - 23 volumes), and Antique Romance (victorian period piece romance ahoy! - 4 volumes).
Re: Manhwa recs?
It's a shame you say the ending of Masca is unsatisfying, it sounds pretty fun otherwise... I'll definitely check out Threads of Time, though. All in all you gave me a great list, woo~
Re: Manhwa recs?
And yeah. Manga is one of my things. I think I had over 200 volumes by the end of high school. The only ones I ended up keeping were my Rurouni Kenshin and Azumanga Daioh. Mangaupdates keeps it really nice too since they have tons of filters (genre, tropes, even manga vs manhwa) and customized lists you can put series on to help keep track of things.
The thing with Masca's ending is that the author pretty much said "hey guys final volume!", ended things on sort of dramatic cliffhanger-ish, lovers-are-separated note, and then went "PSYCH! I'M WRITING A SEQUEL!" :|
I will wait until the sequel is completely finished before picking it up again because I remember how much I waited volume to volume for the original.
